If you can imagine a summer breeze in the Caribbean…like a breath of fresh air…then you can imagine John Truth on stage performing one of his tantalizing rhythmic songs deeply rooted in the reggae movement.

John Truth embraces every opportunity to perform live…with the type of hunger and desire that separates a true artist.

John Truth is also John T. Williams, Jr., MD, a board-certified, fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon with Tri-County Orthopaedic Center in Central Florida, and former director of the joint replacement program at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.

When the Philly native leaves the operating room, however, his skilled hands coax beautiful music from his acoustic guitar.

John Truth began honing his remarkable songwriting and musical skills years prior to studying medicine, though he was merely a music listener until he took guitar lessons in his adulthood.

In his repertoire, you’ll find remnants of familiar vocal riffs and melodies influenced by many artists including Bob Marley, Black Uhuru and Stevie Wonder.

It is by no mistake or design that John Truth would pay tribute to the late Bob Marley. His consciousness drives him to continue a legacy which resonates in the dynamics of African-American Caribbean Cultural music, which showcases his diversity and experience.
